Job Description

Come join an industry leading Ethernet IP and System on Chip (SOC) design team where you will help design and develop world class Ethernet Controller products for Intel's Ethernet Products Group (EPG). In this role, you will operate as senior engineer in a talented ASIC silicon design team. Some of the things that you will do here include highspeed IO and mixed-signal IP integration, robust power delivery design, validation and optimizing the SOC specifications for supply rails power delivery, and process technology characteristics. The position utilizes design skills and EDA tools to optimize ASIC design to achieve project goals. You will also need to have strong communications skills and the ability to collaborate and influence others. 


Our Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of silicon ASIC products. Your daily agenda will be anything but ordinary. On a regular basis, you will be responsible for:

  • Circuit & hard macro design and characterization
  • Mixed-Signal and high-speed IO
  • IP integration
  • Technology and IP Design Guidelines
  • Power design and characterization
  • Design documentation
  • Prototype checkout Planning


The selected candidate will also need to have strong communications skills and the ability to collaborate and influence others.


Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of Industry job relevant experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Electronics, Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering or other related field of study

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in ASIC and Silicon design engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in Circuit design and characterization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Working knowledge of silicon process technology
  • High-speed network design
  • SOC Power delivery optimization and analysis
  • High-speed IO integration, and Signal and Power Integrity
  • ASIC Physical Design and macro hardening
  • Experience with design tools such as SPICE, Virtuoso, ICC, PTSI, Redhawk
