Job Description

You will be a part of the team driving Intel's vision of the future of the Data Center with an emphasis on networking. We develop solutions that help transform Data Platforms Group into an organization that powers the cloud and billions of smart, connected computing devices through application acceleration sockets and Smart NICs.

The Platform Validation Engineering (PVE) is responsible for validating all products from the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG). The Solutions Validation team within PVE focuses on validating platforms (Si, HW, FW and SW) for cloud, edge, and embedded applications.

We are seeking motivated Validation Architects experienced in comprehending data center and edge networking infrastructure, willing to be a part of the team that brings cutting-edge solutions to our end customers. You will be responsible for:

  • Pathfinding validation solutions to ensure product quality and innovating new and better ways to validate and deliver full Solutions through knowledge of use cases.

  • Building frameworks to simulate actual, or anticipated, customer workloads and relevant benchmarks.

  • Understanding and influencing product specifications, working closely with architects, design engineering, and validation teams to ensure performance and quality.

  • Defining validation strategies and methodologies.

  • Designing and implementing validation environments and capabilities to influence functional validation content.

  • Debugging complex systems in both pre- and post-silicon environments and managing customer requests.

  • Coordinating with management and partners to maintain schedules.


You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ plus years of experience (hardware/software) with networking products (e.g., ethernet networking architecture, protocols and topologies, software virtual switching, server virtualization, and orchestration software)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience debugging complex platforms involving hardware, firmware, and software

  • Experience with power, area, and performance tradeoffs

  • Experience with datacenter hardware and software trends in Security, Storage (RDMA, NVMeoF) and Networking workloads (OVS, NFV) with associated SW stacks

  • Experience with innovating, communicating complex solutions, and assist partners and customer facing teams to deliver leading edge Smart NIC solutions

  • Experience in the design and deployment of automated large-scale data center networking solutions

  • Experience with FPGA modeling and debug
