Job Summary:
The Standard Missile Production team is seeking to hire a production program manager located in Tucson, Arizona at Raytheon Missiles and Defense. This program manager will report directly to the production program manager and is responsible for the overall success of the SM-6 production program. This role will also require an individual to maintain and continue to strengthen our domestic and international relationships with our US Navy and DCS customers.
The production manager will serve as a key driver in leading successful execution of the SM-6 program, setting the direction, leadership, and management for execution of the production execution, growth, and AOP commitments for the organization. The production program manager will also have the responsibility to indirectly manage functional teams to ensure flawless execution while meeting all contract deliverables. This role will also include the accountability for SM-6 profit and loss, EAC authority, and margin expansion to our AOP. Furthermore they will be the subject matter expert supporting transition to production efforts, risk management, gate reviews, product affordability, proposal development and contract negotiations.
Other duties include developing and enhancing internal partnerships with functional organizations such as contracts, finance, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, logistics and other support organizations. In addition, the Production Program Manager will assist in preparation of Annual Operating Plan, five-year forecast inputs, product line execution and financial reviews and meeting with key industry partners and customer leaders. The role requires the ability to lead and organize major proposal efforts and may require domestic travel.
This position acts with a reasonable degree of independence, restricted by basic policies and objectives, assists in planning, directing and controlling all relevant business operations, makes final decisions on administrative, technical and operational issues and is responsible for the final results and effectiveness.
This position is based in Tucson, AZ and requires the ability to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Leadership and management of production execution
  • Partner with functional organizations such as finance, contracts, engineering
  • Assist in preparation of Annual Operating Plan and financial reviews
  • Lead and organize major proposal efforts
  • Develop and execute program growth strategies for domestic, international and internal growth

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • 10 years of experience; preferably in program management.
  • Bachelors degree; Preferably in STEM (Science, Technology Engineering, Mathematics) or a in a business discipline.
  • Prior experience with production processes including contracts, supplier management, configuration control, and quality management.
  • Experience leading technologically diverse teams across broad areas of expertise.
An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
  • Experience working government programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external
  • Experience with the USN, NAVSEA, customer community
  • DoD program management experience
  • Multi-functional stretch assignment(s) with broad perspectives of cross-functional responsibilities

  • Earned Value Management Systems certification
