Apple's Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) organization manages key business and technical infrastructure at Apple-how online orders are placed, the customer experience with technology in our retails stores, how much network capacity we need around the world, and so much more.
The IS&T Strategy and Programs team within IS&T is responsible for running, planning, and executing the most strategically significant multi-functional initiatives within IS&T. This team develops, coordinates, and supports many engineering solutions and programs to refine IS&T's culture and strengthen employees' engagement and communication.
We're looking for a site manager to lead all aspects of IS&T Web-the face of IS&T to all of Apple and the destination for everyone working at Apple to get support, training, tools, and how-to information. In this role, you will lead the development and operation of Apple's IS&T Web and our Drupal-based Content Management System (CMS). You will also be responsible for leading projects, solving problems technical issues, and presenting effectively with key partners and global business partners.
The successful candidate will exhibit a keen eye for detail, a passion for content integrity and user experience, and the ability to lead development and administration of the CMS.
Key Qualifications
Handle the ongoing operation of IS&T Web: content processes, content loading, updating, publishing, technology, and QA per requirements from business partners
Partner with the IS&T Web editorial team to maintain content quality and uphold editorial standards
Build, analyze, and publish metrics for IS&T Web
Use feedback from the IS&T HelpLine and other groups to manage the site more effectively
Initiate and develop relationships with key partners
Find opportunities to improve the website and continuously validate that the website provides a great user experience
Be the site champion: Communicate effectively with senior management and key partners on project strategy, features, scope, and progress
Build web pages within our CMS based on PSD or Sketch files provided by our design team, using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript standard methodologies
Solve code issues affecting content display as rendered on Drupal and Adobe Experience Manager platforms
Document processes for non-technical CMS users to build and test new content
Collaborate with IS&T internal partners to receive and deploy code to various staging, QA, and UAT environments while maintaining version control over HTML assets
Work with the engineering team to identify areas of opportunity in the CMS application implementation to deliver new features and improvements
Manage improvement requests and how these fit into the product and engineering teams' roadmaps; prioritize product features among competing alternatives and plans
Work with engineering and QA to ensure the product initiatives are accurately prioritized, crafted, built, and launched on time; communicate technology impact to relevant teams, internal and external
Education & Experience
BA/BS degree in relevant field; Master's degree preferred
