Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp System Engineering (tk SY) is currently seeking four Service Robot Engineers to support the Auburn Hills service center and three service satellites in California, Nevada, and South Carolina.  The Service Robot Engineer is responsible for the installation, debug, and commission of robotic hardware / software equipment related to Company projects.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support installation, programming and maturation of new robot systems and programs.
  • Perform robotic debug and commission activities of software on shop floor and customer site(s).
  • Lead robotic debug and customer buy-off of equipment.
  • Work with customer skilled trades, engineers, and contractors to troubleshoot robotic systems.
  • Perform on-the-job training for customer, operators, and maintenance personnel.
  • Support sales and engineering teams with robotics application insight.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.
 

 

Your profile

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a 4-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry-related experience.
  Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven success programming and debugging Fanuc, KUKA, and / or ABB robots.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical and hardware schematics.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to perform customer training.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
