AppleCare has an immediate opening for a Service Readiness Technical Program Manager. In this role as a key technical contributor, you will lead, coordinate and cross-functionally represent, the definition and execution of test and repair processes for Apple's consumer product lines at our world wide service sites.
You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong understanding of manufacturing fundamentals, and possess excellent communication skills. You'll also need to excel working with cross-functional teams to develop innovative service processes which support large volumes, and deliver high quality, yet are simple to execute and easy to control. Your contributions will make a pronounced difference to the cost associated with service!
This role can be in Austin or Santa Clara Valley.
Key Qualifications
The Service Technical Program Manager (TPM) will design, deploy and qualify high quality, high volume screening and repair solutions at contract manufacturer and 3PL sites around the world. You'll join a team of dynamic TPMs tasked with driving innovative new service processes that will set the bar for quality in the service industry, while reducing our environmental impact, and improving the cost efficiency of service.
You'll be a valued individual contributor in the AppleCare Engineering organization responsible for:
- Developing and implementing service screening and manufacturing processes at contract manufacturer and 3PL sites, including designing and executing development and qualification builds
- Defining Incoming Quality Control (IQC), Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) and field quality performance data to drive quality and efficiency improvements
- Working with operations partners and supplier teams to drive yield, productivity, quality, and cost initiatives into repair and distribution centers
- Developing and executing process control plans and audit plans to manage process compliance and quality
You will also provide VP-level updates on technical and quality performance, and project status.
Education & Experience
BS or higher in engineering discipline (industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical preferred)
