Training and Development Specialist The RMD Technical Training Center is looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented training professional. The Technical Training Center is responsible for the creation, delivery, and oversight of technical training provided at RMD including skills and performance training, safety training, and compliance training. The ideal candidate will be proficient in torque, safety-wire, and soldering, and is required to become IPC Solder Certified within the first 90 days of employment.
This position is responsible to:
Facilitate engaging in-person or virtually delivered training.
Develop and maintain proficiency in required technical skills including torque, safety-wire, and solder.
Follow all internal processes and meet quality gates in all training projects.
Work collaboratively with a variety of people and departments, sometimes with conflicting priorities.
Use software to design and develop engaging and interactive instructor-led and web-based courseware.
Manage effective relationships with customers, peers, and leaders while performing all tasks related to training design, development, deployment, and evaluation.
Participate in or lead project teams responsible for the creation, maintenance, or revision of training materials.
Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills and present information clearly, concisely, and accurately.
Work effectively within various team projects.
U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date.
Required Education:
Four-year degree from an accredited university, or equivalent related experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills:
A minimum of four years experience in corporate or technical training and/or instructional design in adult education.
Ability to gain and retain certification in Solder Initial, Solder Rework, Solder Space, Crane and Hoist, and Fall Protection.
Experience using e-learning software. E.g., Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Skills:
IPC Solder Certified.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Certification in Solder Initial, Solder Rework, Solder Space, Crane and Hoist, and Fall Protection
Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory.
Experience creating instructor led and web-based courseware.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
