Job Description

The position of Senior System Integration & Test Engineer is within the Software Engineering and Architecture Division (SEAD) in the Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL). The chosen individual will support the AF DCGS program at Warner Robins with the goal of improving C2ISR System Integration. This work will entail both internal and external looks at programs/projects that need to integrate with AF DCGS programs. This position will be responsible for sustaining a C2ISR Division level System Integration Working Group (SIWG) with participants across the enterprise. This support will assist the government in defining Policies and Procedures, as directed by C2ISR leadership. The job will require that the individual perform the duties at Robins AFB. The individual will, in concert with government leadership, define the SIWG agenda, solicit briefings from the community, and follow up on activities to ensure success. The individual will support C2ISR leadership in accomplishing similar goals to improve the C2ISR enterprise.

 

Education & Length of Experience

Senior Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist/Associate

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or MA in Military Science or other field related to defense systems and defense electronics, or equivalent combination of education and experience  and seven (7) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree,
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or MA in Military Science or other field related to defense systems and defense electronics, or equivalent combination of education and experience  and nine (9) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor’s degree, or
  • A Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Engineering or MA in Military Science or other field related to defense systems and defense electronics, or equivalent combination of education and experience  and four (4) years of relevant full time experience.

Principal Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist/Associate

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or MA in Military Science or other field related to defense systems and defense electronics, or equivalent combination of education and experience  and eleven (11) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree,
  • A Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Engineering or MA in Military Science or other field related to defense systems and defense electronics, or equivalent combination of education and experience  and seven (7) years of relevant full-time experience.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in systems engineering of large enterprise systems.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the C2ISR enterprise.
  • A proven record of successfully planning and executing one or more large programs for the US Department of Defense.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A proven record of managing large complex tasks, including planning and tracking staffing, schedule, and financial data.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively with engineers, managers, and civilian and military customers.
  • Active Top Secret / SCI clearance.

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.
