We are in search of Software Engineers with a strong hardware architecture or performance analysis background that will contribute to a fast paced team focused on performance analysis of Intel products! Engineers in this role will work with cross-functional teams including processor architecture, software engineering and product marketing to develop workloads to set competitive performance targets, to optimize performance, and to demonstrate product advantages.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying, measuring and analyzing the performance of workloads based on real world usages like photo/video editing using Adobe Creative Cloud or office productivity using Microsoft Office

  • Automation of targeted workloads using C#, C++, Python and/or AutoIT

  • Development responsibilities also include cross platform development (Windows, iOS, MacOS, Android, and Linux) of performance benchmarks using C# using Xamarin build tools


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Minimum qualifications
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 3+ years of experience in the following:

  • CPU architecture and performance characteristics

  • Extensive experience in C#/C++ and Python

  • Windows development environment and tools


Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands on experience with VTune and/or other performance analyzers

  • Detailed knowledge of Intel CPU product line

  • iOS, Android and Linux development environments

  • Familiarity with common performance benchmarks
