Job Summary:

The Senior Software License Management (SLM) Lifecycle Integrator position within the RMD Digital Technology (DT) organization is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Engineering Solutions (ES) organization which has a primary focus on management of engineering and scientific software for the business. The primary responsibility for this position will include implementing technological applications that are customized to meet an organizations needs and link subsystem components to work together as a unit establishing processes and procedures enhancing software licensing optimization. The duties of the SLM Lifecycle integrator are to implement solutions, manage and continuously improve a system to aid in the collection of data to enhance of engineering tools software management. Develop tracking procedures to identify and address issues, analyze usage, advise management, and prepare documentation to further support the alignment and execution of software renewals and purchases of licensed tools across our engineering functions.

The ideal candidate must be able to think both strategically and tactically by continuously improving upon our SLM execution and processes used to manage the SLM lifecycle. They must be able to work in a collaborative and virtual teaming environment, as an engaged team member. This role will lead partnered efforts across DT and Engineering functions to implement centralized SLM solutions that provide the intended business value, optimizing software renewal processes for current and future plans.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Supports the proactive management of software renewals to ensure they are executed on time, while maximizing value and minimizing cost for the business
  • Partners with tool owners/SMEs to identify underutilized licenses for cost savings, using historical and current data to forecast.
  • Expands license monitoring tools using LDAP and Active Directory data to monitor and report utilization across groups
  • Partners with tool owners/SMEs evaluating software acquisition purchase and renewal request to ensure adherence to Enterprise Architecture Standards
  • Supports monthly AOP financial reconciliation reporting
  • Ensures procurement data for essential artifacts are captured and managed in the appropriate systems of record (quotes, utilization data, approvals, etc.)
  • Responsible for validating that software licensing records are created and updated
  • Provides audit support as required
  • Coordinates and ensure information flows between programs and organizational managers.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 6 years of directly related experience; OR minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a Bachelors Degree
  • Experience working with Software asset management systems with database and workflow components
  • Experience with managing large software portfolio (suppliers, licensing models, license utilization, tool capabilities and general taxonomy)
  • Experience with software license management compliance
  • Experience in defining and implementing valuable metrics for ES leadership
  • Experience with monthly actuals and risks and opportunities
  • Experience with software asset management lifecycle (planning, Acquisition, Operation & Maintenance, Disposal & Harvesting)
  • Experience with developing efficient processes for managing software entitlements
  • Experience with enterprise software agreements

  • Experience and familiarity with prevalent license management technologies used with engineering software (Flexera, Reprise, Sentinel, etc.)
  • Experience implementing process automation to reduce cycle time and manual labor
  • Experience developing process documentation and training materials
  • Knowledge of Eracent IT Management Center (ITMC)
  • IAITAM Software Asset Manager (CSAM) certification a plus
