Senior Software Engineer — Comcast Cable Communications, LLC, Chicago, IL.
Provide technical leadership within teams responsible for executing product specifications based on client and market requirements; develop .NET, web-based software solutions in an Agile environment according to Scrum methodologies; provide task breakouts and estimations of work to the Product Manager; conduct analyses to determine software integration needs; work with Product Owners to ensure that work requests are properly articulated, prioritized, and detailed for development; design technical solutions using .NET framework, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, SQL Server, npm, and NuGet; use JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, C#, Visual Studio, and React to write quality software code based on designs and specifications; use NUnit for unit testing; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and mentor junior-level engineers.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and five (5) years of experience developing software solutions in an Agile environment; and designing technical solutions using .NET framework, SQL Server, C#, and Visual Studio; of which three (3) years must include using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, React, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, npm, NuGet, and NUnit to write software code.
