Job Description

Do you have a passion for securing everything? Researching threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks? We are hiring the senior technical researcher for our world-class Penetration Team. This team regularly saves Intel millions by finding product vulnerabilities before they are shipped to customers. This role requires maintaining substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art security principles, theories, and attacks, with lots of hands-on creation of exploits, and then mentoring other researchers to raise their level of expertise.

Candidate will be responsible for secure design development and operation of Intel's hardware and software products and services.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Threat assessments design of security components and vulnerability assessment
  • Ensures products conform to standards and specifications
  • Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risks
  • Responds to customer client requests or events as they occur
  • Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education judgment and formal processes
  • Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art security principles theories attacks and contributes to literature and conferences
  • May participate in development of intellectual property
  • Requires thorough knowledge of security practices procedures and capabilities in order to perform nonrepetitive analytical work


Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Requirements

  • The candidate must possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a lead technical role in security research, pen testing, red teaming, Hackathons, etc.
  • Security certification such as GXPN or other

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Research presentation at Security Conferences such as DEFCON
  • Published CVEs
  • In-depth experience with vulnerability research
  • Demonstrated expertise in exploit development (published exploits and write-ups on exploiting new classes of issues, new techniques, tools are greatly appreciated)
  • Reverse Engineering experience (or, for researchers focused on open-source software, demonstrated expertise on reading assembly and writing exploits for complex vulnerability classes)
  • Knowledge of computer systems architecture, CPU, SoC, chipsets, BIOS, Firmware, Drivers, and other compute paradigms such as Cloud infrastructure and application development frameworks/APIs

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$145,650.00-$233,190.00
