Apple's SAP Global Systems organization has an opening for a Senior SAP test automation architect and project manager. The role requires a mix of SAP test automation, functional and leadership skills to deliver projects in a highly integrated multi-functional environment. The successful candidate will work alongside technical, functional and business teams to understand requirements, design solutions and guide test automation efforts that are scalable to meet the needs of high-volume processes where performance and efficiency is key.

Key Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Experienced with defining test automation standards, governance, success criteria, SLAs and KPIs to measure efficiency.
  • Experienced in test automation with SAP and integration with other Non-SAP systems
  • Experienced with tools like Tricentis, Tosca, Selenium, Worksoft etc.
  • Experience in evaluating various testing framework for a given opportunity
  • Experience with test on HANA platform
  • Ability to articulate sophisticated ideas and solutions in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
  • Ability to lead large, sophisticated, multi-functional, global projects working closely with diverse teams.
  • Ability to deliver excellent quality test automation solutions along with project design and development, with a focus of reducing testing time and improving the final deliverable.
  • Self-motivated as well as a motivator of others.
  • Ability to collaborate with other teams in order to resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Ability to balance scope and timeline of multiple projects in parallel, with minimal direction.
  • Passion to deliver high quality solutions in an environment where expectations are high, and timelines are challenging.
  • Innovative, highly motivated with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Good understanding of functional processes to drive test automation design with focus on quality and cost.
  • Extensive hands-on functional design and configuration experience, including detailed specifications for user exits, utilities, interfaces, reports, etc.
  • Creative and out of the box thinking.
  • Use of Machine Learning concepts is desirable.


You will partner with Apple business and technical teams across regions, as well as some time with external partners. Much of this interaction will be with regional and global teams in other locations and other time zones, so excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration skills are key.

The role includes supporting the IS&T and business during projects, understanding the functionality and plan for testing automation from both a tactical and strategic perspective.

Crafting and being responsible for the project plan, guiding test automation, dependencies, risks and mitigation plan.

Ensuring the test automation solution seamlessly integrate with other automation efforts / solution.

Guiding and leading teams in different regions and time zones.

Analyzing issues / challenges and driving towards resolution across teams.

Status reporting within the team and upwards to management groups.

Driving the functional and technical gap analysis, level of effort and prioritization for automating testing.

Driving scalable and flexible test automation designs, ensuring alignment with other test automation efforts.

Education & Experience

MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
