Description:The Senior RF Systems Engineer will be part of a cross functional team working on a commercial communications satellite for mobile applications. The RF engineer will work with peers and more senior engineers on the system design, requirements generation, and review of testing data. Overall job responsibilities include:

Supporting new business proposals in a system
design capacity
Generating system analysis to meet performance
requirements
Creating unit specifications based on analysis
Presenting system performance in design reviews
Reviewing all unit test data and determining
corrective action for non-compliances
Generating testing requirements at the system level
Reviewing system level test data and determining
correction action for non-compliances
Summarizing systems test performance
Customer engagement
Design and process improvement initiatives
Working with a team on solving complex problems
Effective communication to team members and
management
Innovating across satellite communications and RF
engineering
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, physics,
or equivalent
Familiarity with RF communication theory and
electrodynamics through either practice or education
Experience performing RF systems analysis: noise
figure, linearity, gain, phase, and link budgets
Basic understanding of digital signal processing
Experience presenting reports or analysis to a group
Experience as a team member working on a
technical project
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Programming experience through either practice or
education
Desired Skills:
Experience reviewing test data for: AM/AM
conversion, frequency response, phase response,
linearity, noise figure, phase noise, and spurious
performance
Experience with ADC/DAC loading analysis
Experience with digitally processed satellite links
Experience with beam forming antennas or arrays
Experience generating RF unit specifications
Expertise in Microsoft Excel experience writing
code in VBA
MS in RF or communications systems
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
