Job Description

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Quantico, VA is seeking a full-time qualified individual to provide enterprise architect and/or systems engineer to expertise to the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Primary duties include work as an enterprise/systems/integration architect supporting various DCSA projects. Individual will be responsible for providing technical engineering expertise associated with the design, development, implementation, documentation, and support for various hardware/software solutions. In addition, the individual shall function as a member of the onsite engineering team working closely with software development teams supporting application modernization, virtualization, and migration tasks with a DevSecOps mindset and approach.

Education & Length of Experience

Senior Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist

  • A Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology Systems, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree,
  • A Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology Systems, or a related field of study and nine (9) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelors degree, or
  • A Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology Systems, or a related field of study and four (4) years of relevant full time experience after completion of a Bachelor's degree.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years Enterprise Architecture experience, of which 2+ years must be working within the DoD IT environments, cloud architectures, mobility, emerging IT technologies, and industry best practices
  • Broad knowledge of system analysis and design; Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); Cloud Architecture; Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), Business Process Reengineering; Business Case Review and Analysis; System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and other Federal frameworks [DODAF, FEAF and TOGAF] in support of Cyber Security and Threat Analysis
  • Experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) or Joint Architecture Reference Model (JARM)
  • Experience in testing software applications, translating software applications, systems, and documentation in an intelligence analyst capacity.
  • Solid understanding of transaction and information systems, data warehoused, data marts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid client service, time management and leadership skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a team player and work in a collaborative environment
  • Must pass an employer background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA in addition to technical degree(s) above, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation or similar certification
  • Attainment of other architect or related certifications beyond degree programs
