The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Atlanta, GA is looking for radar software engineers and scientists with an interest in developing embedded computing and control systems for unique RF radar hardware prototyping across multiple frequency bands from VHF to Ka-band. Software development requires system-level knowledge of radar operation and an understanding of RF hardware subsystems. This opportunity is with the Aerospace, Transportation, and Advanced Systems Laboratory (ATAS) with the Systems Development Division (SDD). ATAS/SDD projects focus on developing RF hardware systems for a wide range of Department of Defense applications which primarily include radar; threat system simulations; test and evaluation related to threat radars, missiles, air, and ground vehicles; power systems; and embedded computing and control systems but often span into electronic warfare, high power microwave (HPM) systems, and weapon systems.
