Raytheon Missile & Defense (RMD) is seeking an experienced Program Management, Planning & Scheduling professional to join the RMD Planning & Scheduling Department. You will be assigned work on a program within the Land Warfare and Air Defense Mission Area portfolio of programs and will be the focal point for all matters pertaining to schedule on the program or programs. You will be directly accountable for adherence to RMD and government policies in the area of scheduling and Earned Value. This position is for a Program Planner within RMD in McKinney, Texas. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead development of the programs Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project, based on requirements and scope provided by the customer
Ensure IMS is compliant with government customer requirements throughout all program phases
Ensure the IMS is resource loaded with target budgets and demonstrates thorough cost and schedule integration
Detail plan and maintain the IMS throughout the programs lifecycle that incorporates contractual and programmatic changes into the IMS in order to maintain realistic, current contract schedule baselines
Conduct detailed analysis of the IMS and supporting documents to ensure quality, completeness and compliance. The weekly/monthly business rhythms will require communication (electronically and verbally) of schedule status including but not limited to, results of critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis (SRA), schedule variance analysis and the results of what-if exercises to the Program Manager, the customer and to senior management
Support EAC and LRE processes as they relate to the Program IMS
Assist with development and maintenance of the Program Master Phasing Schedule
Required Skills:
Minimum of four (4) years of Program Planning & Scheduling experience
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Project
Demonstrated knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process
Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite
Demonstrated knowledge assisting teams in evaluating and planning, scheduling and cost estimating tasks
Experience analyzing/querying schedule data including critical path and schedule metrics
This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance..
Desired Skills:
Six (6) plus years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling
Ability to decompose statements of work into their basic elements and transform them into workable program plan
Intimately familiar with applicable Government regulations, especially pertaining to program planning and Earn Value compliance
Understanding of basic product development principles including Agile SW development
Ability to interface and influence at all levels of an organization with strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Familiarity with any of the following: Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) SAP/R3, Microframe Project Manager (MPM) or similar EVMS tools and software applications such as Oracle ERP, Deltek Cobra and Deltek MPM Connect
Demonstrated ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Required Education (including Major):
BS/BA degree from an accredited university or college in Business Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field of study
