Job Description

The Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group (AXG) Super Compute Platforms Product Architecture Team is looking for an outstanding and distinguished technologist: PE, SPE, or fellow level. You will work closely with our lead Super Compute Product Architect to drive a growing portfolio of next-generation products for AI and HPC. This product segment has tremendous growth potential. The role is a senior technical leadership position typically staffed with experienced and highly accomplished lead SOC, Platform, and System Architects who want to broaden their impact and breadth.

Responsibilities:
Set technical direction for next-generation Datacenter GPU and CPU products for both AI and HPC.
Map strategic product goals to end-to-end use cases and define detailed architecture and uArchitecture requirements for next-generation products.
Drive next-generation datacenter Product Concepts: create product architecture feature and KPI bounding boxes and set and drive power and performance goals and projections.
Support Engineering Concept work with reactive product sensitivity analysis and drive architecture tradeoffs.
Author the Product Requirements Document (PRD) covering IP, SOC, Package, Board, Module, Platform, and System.
Create TCO and other analytical models to justify architectural tradeoffs.
Form close partnership with finance and business leadership to comprehend financial goals and BU tradeoffs.
Be the primary technical interface to key customers and senior executives at Intel.
Help form product architecture strategy.
Roaming problem solver and technical leader capable of driving Product-level investigations into a broad array of architecture domains.


Qualifications

15+ years of experience in the following:
Ability to perform or grow into a lead CPU and/or GPU Product Architect
Core competency and previous experience as a lead CPU and/or GPU SOC architect
Core competency with coherency protocols and CPU and/or GPU fabric arch and uArch.
Core competency with fabrics and interconnects at various levels.
Previous experience as a lead Platform and/or System Architect.
Technical breadth spanning Systems, PODs, Racks, Node, Platform, Module, Card, Package, SOC, and key associated IPs. CPUs, GPUs (graphics, media, compute IP), Memory sub-systems, Storage sub-systems, CPU interconnects and fabrics, GPU/dGPU interconnects, datacenter fabrics and networking, and POD and System architectures.
RAS is a key domain for all datacenter products: wear reliability, soft-error and hard-error Rel, error handling, in-field repair for DPM mitigation, and similar topics.
Preferred Qualification:
Familiar with AI, Deep Learning, Machine learning concepts.
Familiar with cloud security and confidential computing concepts.
Power management, power delivery, thermals, packaging knowledge
Comfortable working across organizational boundaries
Comfortable speaking to technical leadership and executives - able to distill complex topics to senior executives concisely.
Passion and vision for datacenter GPU strategy
Knowledge about the datacenter ecosystem and competitive landscape.
