Sr. Principal Material Program Manager (MPM) needed for the Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) Air Power (AP) Sensors & Systems Program Area in Woburn, MA. The Material Program Manager is a strong leader and project manager with a demonstrated record of supply chain accomplishment. The MPM creates, manages and executes the material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP) to ensure program success including driving efforts to achieve material sales objectives, delivering efficiencies to the business/program and providing comprehensive support through the Integrated Product Development Process (IPDP). The successful candidate will have supply chain production experience and exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across organizations. Demonstrated experience in supply chain, managing budgets, and managing suppliers in a matrixed environment would be advantageous. Demonstrated ability to lead efforts including budgeting and financial management, issue and conflict resolution. The position requires an individual who is persistent in influencing others to execute on time and escalates as required to achieve program objectives. Key Activities/Responsibilities include:
Financial management (i.e., Earned Value, Estimate at Complete, budgets, targets, working capital, material forecasts, etc.)
Supply Chain Management Processes (i.e., Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan, supplier performance, metrics, international sourcing, develop/evaluate the make/where strategy, the Collaborative Agreement process, Logistics, etc.)
Develop/Communicate Customer flow-through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
Single point of contact to management and to internal customers, including Program Office, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Contracts
Support development and lead supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and bases of estimates
Must be able to work in conjunction with engineering to develop accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) from the technical baseline within a few days of proposal kick off, control changes in the BOM during the proposal process and promptly flow any changes to material estimating and develop a strategy to get representative costs.
Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Collaborate with supply chain functions (Procurement, Sourcing, Logistics, etc.) for support as needed.
Monitor performance metrics and proactively acts to address program and functional issues.
Excellent written and oral communications skills is necessary.
U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Finance, Management or equivalent
Minimum 8 years of direct experience in Government/Commercial Defense & Aerospace Markets or equivalent substitute
Ability to obtain final DoD Secret Clearance
Experience with Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing processes and systems (i.e. MRP)
Willingness to Travel Domestically/Internationally, as required
Desired Skills:
Masters Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Finance, Management or equivalent
Active Secret Clearance
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in a matrix environment at all levels of the organization
