Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Performance Engineer who brings Intel's technical strategy to life. You will work with industry benchmarking consortiums and benchmark vendors to make sure workloads are representative of current and future-looking usage models and also use IA features similar to what an industry software vendor would do.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Analyzing benchmark or software code that runs on IA and competitive architecture

  • Rewriting the code to make the best use of IA features

  • Understanding why the SW performs as it is doing on competition

  • Expertise in strategically important usage areas like compression, media, big data, AI/ML, etc.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science , with 6+ years of experience in the following:

  • Experience with performance improvement implemented in a strategically important area (e.g. compression, media, big data, HPC) on Software, Instruction Set as well as Microarchitecture sides.

  • Experience of development in C/C++ and ASM for Intel (and/or other architectures).

  • CPU microarchitecture and experience using performance analysis tools as well as cycle accurate simulators

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Math (or adjacent fields) with 10+ years of experience.
