Lockheed Martin seeks an experienced Mechanical Product Design Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie to support a MLRS Family of Munitions (MFOM) Launchers Program initiative. This is an Industrial Engineering Services (IES) Program that will require the candidate to execute and provide oversight to the mechanical design and integration of the Common Fire Control System (CFCS) into the M270A2 MLRS and M142 HIMARS missile launcher platforms. The candidate will be involved in supporting the design efforts for the product, related studies and analysis, and will provide Lead coordination for the effort

Other notable tasks will include:
-Development of 3D drawing models and creation/release of 2D .engineering drawings using 3D CAD Software, Pro/Engineer (CREO-3)
-Interface development and generation of Instructional Engineering Release (IER) documents
-Performance of Trade Studies and Tolerance Analysis
-Requirements derivation / decomposition
-Collaborate / Coordinate with other Mechanical Engineering (Structures, Thermal and M&P) and technical disciplines (Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Logistics & Sustainment Engineering), Procurement (Materials and Subcontract Management), Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations, and potential suppliers
-Provide engineering liaison effort to support the fabrication, assembly and integration tasks associated with the product
-Integrated Master Schedule support / development
-Control Account Management (CAM) support

Basic Qualifications
-Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance

-Must have the ability to travel (approximately 10%) as it may be required to support the hardware fabrication / integration activities in Camden, Arkansas

-Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in an engineering related field

-Mechanical Engineer with strong conceptual and detail design skills using PTC CREO
-Ability to provide leadership and direction to small teams
-Knowledge of mechanical drawing standards
-Experience with detail, assembly, and installation type drawings
-Knowledge of manufacturing and manufacturing processes
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Strong organizational skills
-Capable of performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment, capable of working in an inclusive, team environment
-The candidate should have experience with Material Review Board (MRB) type experience, where disposition of discrepancy reports will be required by engineering

Desired skills
Computer Aided Design skills using PTC CREO-3 Software
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Agile PLM (for 2D drawing release)
