Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) is currently seeking a high performing, experienced HR professional to fill a key HR Manager role within Raytheon Missiles and Defense functions, reporting to the HR Engineering Associate Director. In this dynamic and fast-paced role you will be the primary HR partner to an executive engineering leader whom will partner and collaborate with business leaders and HR colleagues across the Engineering Function. You will engage to understand the business strategies and objectives of the organization, while applying HR solutions in a proactive manner, consistent with the HR vision and mission.

As the primary HR partner you will help develop the HR strategy, lead all HR solutions/projects and represent the HR Associate Director in leadership meetings/engagements as needed. This role leads a team of HR generalists. The ability to manage team priorities and performance, build relationships, coach and influence leaders, exercise good judgment and work effectively across the Raytheon Technologies matrix is critical in this role.

Additionally, the confidence to proactively stretch yourself and engage in dialogue with leaders to facilitate their buy-in and engagement to drive optimal solutions is key to success for this role. The successful candidate should demonstrate an understanding of how HR can support business growth and performance by aligning the right solutions, ideas, skills and people both domestically and globally. The ideal candidate is someone who is looking to stretch and develop their HR capabilities in preparation for a higher-level HR leadership role.

Responsibilities To Anticipate:

Lead a team of HR Generalists including prioritizing work and managing performance.
Utilize your flexible coaching style to coach executive level leaders and their management teams to improve their leadership effectiveness and success.
Proactively seek out opportunities to influence leadership and be a catalyst for change and improvement, while delivering the full scope of HR solutions including but not limited to:

Talent acquisition
Performance management
Leadership capability and development
Compensation planning
Employee development
Succession planning
Organizational effectiveness & organizational development

Additionally Will:
Translate 1 to 2 year business and HR strategies into operational and actionable project plans related to Compensation, Performance, Talent Development, Workforce Planning, Change Management or other HR disciplines.
Synthesize data and information into actionable plans and effectively communicate/dialogue with leaders to facilitate their buy-in and engagement.
Coach leaders at all levels to increase understanding and application of HR processes such as performance development, talent acquisition, talent reviews, transfers, salary planning, etc.
Engage with and influence leaders and employees to drive complex business/employee problems to resolutions balancing business requirements, employee advocacy and policy compliance.
Partner with business leaders in the development and implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
Complete tasks that involve the development and manipulation of data (Excel spreadsheets and HR tools) and analysis of that data.

The primary work location will be Tewksbury, MA or Tucson, AZ, with travel as required.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Must have strong foundational competency in leadership coaching and influence management skills
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and experience collaborating with multiple HR functional disciplines to develop solutions
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Qualifications You Must Have:

10+ years applicable HR partner experience or Masters degree and 7+ years of applicable HR partner experience in one or more areas of talent development, leadership coaching, compensation planning, organizational effectiveness and organizational development, talent acquisition
Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Psychology, or other related discipline.
Experience with HR business applications and systems, such as PeopleSoft, Workday, Cognos, and applicant tracking, or similar database and query tools.

Prior experience as a supervisor (managing others) or a team leader, is desirable

Excellent analytical, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written, oral and presentation
