Job Summary:
Raytheon Technologies Naval Power (NP) Mission Area has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Senior Manager to support a key US Navy pursuit within our Naval Shipboard Missile (NSM) Program Area Directorate.

This is a critical program within Raytheon Missile and Defense (RMD) requiring expert level support to provide strategic vison, develop partnerships and resolve issues both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in the capture, negotiation and/or management of complex development contracts. A proven record of productive and active engagement with key functional areas such as program leadership, engineering and supply chain is essential to being successful in this position.

The successful applicant will be the primary customer interface for business and contracting matters. They will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining trust and cooperation while ensuring that proposed and negotiated terms comply with company policies and guidelines. This role works closely with RMD leadership, Program Management, Business/Estimating, Corporate and Export/Import Operations. The successful candidate must be able to represent RMD independently on significant transactions and advise management on contractual rights and obligations while mitigating contractual/program risks. This assignment requires an ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships with external and internal customers.

This position requires the selected candidate to be within commuting distance from RMDs facilities in Tucson, Arizona. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Submit and negotiate pricing proposals
  • Provide support to senior management regarding contractual and business issues
  • Examine cost structure estimates of labor, material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies
  • Professionally represent RMD on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop business relationships
  • Lead for the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts execution, as well as general contract administration
  • Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
  • Identify, mitigate, and drive the resolution of contractual issues as they may arise
  • Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 3 additional years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in contracts, OR a combination of five years of contracts experience and five years of other functional experience related to business management, OR 7 years experience in contracts with an advanced degree (Masters or higher)
  • Experience with competitive Department of Defense proposals
  • An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
