Job Description

The Digital Technology - Advanced Visualization leader will be directly responsible for all strategic and operational elements of Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) Visualization Centers across the globe. Providing leadership and direction for strategic vision, prioritization, development, implementation, and deployment of cutting edge advanced visualization technology including 3D, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), immersive environments and Remote Collaboration, in alignment with business and customer requirements.

This position will have direct ownership of cost and schedule performance for all centers, establishing strategic partnerships across Mission Areas, product line and functions, regularly meeting and collaborating with senior leaders and executives, setting team and center priorities, sustaining measurements of performance and delivering quantified ROI back to the business. The Advanced Visualization leader will be home roomed in Digital Technology (DT) and have a direct interface with both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and manage vision, strategy and goals to align with business and customer needs
Operational readiness and flawless execution across all centers and all visualization use cases from customer engagement, business development and capture through co-development, supplier collaboration and training, sustainment and maintenance
Continue the consolidation of Advanced Visualization Centers across RMD and the standardization of technology, use cases, event execution and support at each location
Primary technical lead and POC with counterparts across RMD and throughout the enterprise, leveraging technical resources from Digital Technology, Operations, Engineering and other functions as needed
Driving the identification and maturation of new use cases and the development of new capabilities to be implemented both within the Immersive Design Center (IDC) environments as well as other locations (factories, suppliers, etc.)
Authority to manage all strategic and operational related activities across the visualization centers; Authority over and direct management of center leads to ensure that the overall operational strategy is optimized to meet business and customer needs
Integrate key business activities into a seamless organization that can leverage best practices, people skills and cross utilization of assets
Manage center proposals, developing proposal timelines and program Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedules as needed. Developing and editing customer proposals, white papers, statements of work and Bases of Estimate
Reporting out to governing steering team and, as needed, enterprise or corporate entities
Responsible for hiring, firing, promotion, rewards and career growth and development for the advanced visualization team


This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Skills


U.S. Citizenship is required
Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance within one year of start date.
12+ years related professional experience
Ability to develop and implement multiyear tactical and operational plans with measurable results that are reported and analyzed regularly to executive level of leadership
Familiarity with the development of new capability, processes, standards or operational plans in support of the advanced immersive visualization strategy
Experience managing budget accountability and planning for multiple IT or visualization centers
Experience leading improvements of processes, systems or products to advance visualization capability and develops use cases within the business and/or across the enterprise
Experience in building and leading teams

Desired Skills:

Skilled in management principals as well as technical domains adjacent to and engaged in advance visualization. These include but are not limited to Mechanical and Electrical CAD techniques, standards and tools; AR, VR, 3D current and emerging technology from large scale centers to wearables; Modeling and Simulation tools; basic IT/network and network/cyber security understanding.
Identify and solve complex and diverse technical, logistical, operational, cross functional/cross business problems. Ability to gather and digest information from a variety of sources, analyze and investigate to understand the problems, root causes and preventative/corrective action
Communicates effectively at all levels, individual contributor to executive levels and external customers including representative of governments domestic and international. Identifies opportunities to speak and publish externally, extending the RTX brand of being a leader in the AR/VR and Advanced Visualization industry.
Ability to effectively influence other functions/disciplines/businesses to achieve goals.
Manages a diverse cross functional team including multiple functions such as Engineering, Operations, Requirements & Capabilities, and Digital Technology.
Master's Degree

Required Education (including Major):
Requires Bachelors of Science or Bachelors of Arts Degree
