Responsibilities

•           Reports to the Director of Quality/Outcomes within the Quality department

•           Leads process and system improvements throughout Shepherd Center, including the inpatient and outpatient settings

•           Applies process improvement tools, including but not limited to Lean and Six Sigma, to best fit the given need of a specific problem or project

•           Facilitate Workgroup teams on techniques, processes and methodologies to identify and solve root causes related to key process and patient outcomes

•           Leads strategic initiatives tied to organizational goals and provides direction as strategies are developed

•           Supports data preparation for and execution of hospital wide accreditation surveys and external body requirements

•           Designs new process maps based upon data analysis and direct observations of current processes to create clinical and operational recommendations to achieve established goals

•           Has experience with change management on an organization and individual level

•           Must have a positive can-do attitude, enjoy performing JIT training as well as working with the front line care givers to design safe and efficient care delivery.

•           Must be comfortable and be skilled in facilitation of change to drive high reliability.

•           Needs to be able to validate, analyze, understand and explain complex data sets to a range of audiences from front line staff to senior management/executives.

•           Will work both independently and collaboratively.

 

Qualifications:

•           Bachelor’s degree (Health Systems/Industrial Engineering preferred)

•           3-5 years process improvement experience (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred)

•           Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required

•           Excellent written and oral communication skills

•           Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, statistical analysis tools
