The Senior Government Affairs Representative will help develop policy and strategy on a range of issues, and manage Apple's interactions with federal legislators. The ideal candidate will have experience working at a high level in government, as well as working as a policy advocate.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Congressional office or for a Committee, and with extensive knowledge of the legislative process
  • Experience advocating before Congress on behalf of corporations, trade associations, or any other interest group preferred
  • Experience organizing policy-focused events
  • Knowledge of the policy issues relevant to Apple
  • Extraordinarily strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to concisely summarize complex issues and advocacy points
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous work environment and lead change laterally across organizations using influencing skills
  • Proven creative problem solving history, ability to work well collaboratively and under pressure
  • Excellent leadership and professional presence
  • Highly motivated self-starter and must enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • Teammate and willingness to pitch in when necessary

Description

Design and execute on public policy initiatives and develop engagement strategies with federal legislators, particularly with Senate Democrats.

Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, as well as with industry trade associations and community organizations.

Effectively communicate policy priorities and provide feedback with regard to partner policy initiatives.

Draft policy and background materials for relevant meetings and engagement.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years experience in government, government relations, or other advocacy/engagement roles.
