We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include working closely with the UX team to implement visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. You will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build all client-side logic.
Although we have offices in Dresden, Munich and Karlsruhe, we are also a remote-centric business and offer a range of personas to allow variations in home-office based and flexible work.
Develop new user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Constantly improve code quality
Write unit and integration tests
Constantly improve developer experience
Drive design and structure of our codebase and engineering practices
Support the team with technical guidance
Mentor junior developers
Contribute to our Web Chapter talks to help us sharpen our expertise
Computer science degree or practical experience that equates to a similar technical foundation
At least 2 years of experience
Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
Good understanding of TypeScript, ReactJS and state management in React and state management with Redux as well as patterns and libraries to handle asynchronous behavior
Good understanding of design for testable code and techniques for unit and integration testing
Familiarity with Webpack, Yarn and other front-end build tools
Proficient understanding of Git, feature branch workflows and effective code review processes
Experience of working within an agile software development environment (Scrum/Kanban)
Fluent English (written and spoken)
