RMD Accounting organization is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join the Government Accounting team. This team member will interface regularly across all functions within RMD and with Government Audit and Management agencies. As a member of the Controllers organization, the selected candidate will perform tasks that include (but not limited to):
Preparing and analyzing cost impacts and cost accounting changes
Preparing, analyzing, and submitting adequate Annual Incurred Cost Proposals for RMD Segments/Reporting Units
Responsible for the formulation and preparation of formal audit responses to DCAA/DCMA
Act as a liaison to DCAA/DCMA and respond to inquiries and audit reports
Maintaining the RMD Cost Accounting Standards Board (CASB) Disclosure Statements
Providing guidance related to disclosed practices, policies & procedures, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Compliance support for RMD and RMDs Segments/Reporting Units
Conducting CAS reviews and assessments of cost collection practices
Providing guidance related to labor compliance, to include Ethics support, and color of money compliance (NBI, Overhead, etc.)
Individual will also work closely with other functional organizations, CAS Segments, and the Finance Leadership Team to ensure compliance with Raytheon policies. This position provides an excellent opportunity for networking with other RMD organizations, other Raytheon Business Units, and Corporate. Our department is involved in many matters that drive policies, establish guidelines, and set the direction of our financial organization for the future.

Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or other Business discipline with minimum 4-6 years of Finance/Accounting or relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to understand complex cost accounting structures, including labor bid categories, overhead pools (primary and secondary), general and administrative rates, and cost collection methodologies
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 30 and 31
Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Ability to synthesize large data sets and summarize for leadership review
Understanding of complex business data, processes, rate modeling, and how master data drives rate application
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong analytical skills
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Ability to work independently and ensure overall objectives and goals of the organization are achieved
Desired Skills:
Strong background in defense accounting with experience in a financial discipline within that environment
Familiarity with the RMD cost structure and Raytheon Policies & Procedures
Diverse experience to include functional, business, and/or rates related
Experience with SAP (APEX, PRISM, and BW)
Familiarity with Incurred Cost Proposals and/or ICE model
Experience in analyzing and responding to Government audit reports and requests for information (RFIs)
