Job Description

Global Supply Chain (GSC) manages all aspects of technology and services required from external partners to develop, manufacture, and deliver Intel's technology and products to Intel's customers. GSC plays a critical role of managing Intel's relationships with the external semiconductor ecosystem and ensuring the best use of ecosystem offerings to maintain Intel's technology leadership, profitability, and success of our customers.

This role is for Intel's equipment spare parts analytics and data engineering. Intel is looking for a senior engineer to develop data engineering & analytics framework for spares to improve parts performance and lifetime. The selected candidate will lead a supply chain engineering efforts, work with suppliers to leverage data streams of spare parts, develop AI/ML (artificial intelligence/machine learning) models and implement them in the production environment to enhance the spare parts performance. Success will be driven through strategic creativity, execution, collaboration, and integration across GSC's ecosystem of partners and stakeholders. Collaboration with GSC personnel and partner organizations in the Fabs is core. Equally important is having to identify and work with an array of outside supply chain partners to effectively bring ideas to life. A successful candidate will not only create and build within the team, but also embraces iterating and integrating with others.

 

The Data Scientist/Engineer- Parts Supplier Technology & Data Integration will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Managing all aspects of supplier interaction pertaining to data streams from semiconductor tools and spare parts, to drive overall parts life extension, tool capability and improved process performance.
  • Deploying solutions to lower overall cost of ownership through predictive failure models, process modeling and excursion detection,  through the use of AI/ML techniques and digital twin concepts
  • Working with suppliers to develop state-of-the-art sensors to augment existing data streams and improve the overall capabilities of the semiconductor toolsets
  • Planning/managing both programs and projects that are directly tied to use of tool/parts data streams to improve part performance, process improvement, predict failures and improve MTBF.
  • Working with cross-functional teams within Technology Development, Manufacturing and Automation departments to implemented solutions and derive benefits
  • Working with various internal divisions within the Fabs and GSC groups and will provide a consistent "one-voice" Intel data requirements to the external suppliers.
  • Providing leadership for the project team and key interfaces to the project or program.
  • Working on problems/tasks to deliver solutions to monitor process performance, and predict excursions
  • Coordinating resources with other TD and HVM functions.
  • Developing and Reviewing user and technical requirements for completeness, clarity, and interface with stakeholders for timely delivery
  • Having a thorough knowledge of business practices and procedures in order to perform non-repetitive, analytical work.
  • Providing solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must possess at least one of the 2 following degrees + the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas of expertise specified below: 

1- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field of study with 7+ years of experience.

2- Master's Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field of study with 5+ years of experience.

Expertise areas:

  • Parts Global Manufacturing Supply Base.
  • Semiconductor tool/parts data modeling & analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Semiconductor manufacturing, data streams, communication protocols is a plus
