Velóce Corporation, is seeking a Senior Engineer with wireless charging or wireless power transfer background to join our Research and Development team. The individual will be developing reliable, efficient, and intelligent wireless power technologies for a novel medical device. Velóce is developing a next generation drug delivery system to better target disease treatment and improve efficacy of existing drug therapies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop low power wireless power solutions from concept to prototypes, using state-of-the-art power conversion topologies to achieve high efficiency, high reliability, high power density and high performance and meet medical device safety standards
  • As a member of the R&D team you will be able to research and evaluate the feasibility of new technologies and approve and provide direction on the modern topologies to be used in wireless power delivery in this exciting field
  • Manage technical aspects of projects by monitoring and managing project scope, plan and cost in order to achieve successful project completion while driving innovation
  • Provide strong technical leadership to solve complex technical challenges
  • Design and select components of power converters, including transformers, inductors, embedded microcontrollers, transistors, drivers, and two-way status communications
  • Design, model, simulate, verification testing, design evaluation/ revisions/transfer technology, product performance analysis
  • Perform design revisions and updates, and assists in transferring designs to manufacturing, ensuring reliable and cost-effective production

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • BS degree in EE, MS preferred, with 4+ years’ of experience in hands on design in wireless charging or wireless power transferring products
  • Familiar with international and regulatory standards (A4WP, AirFuel, IEEE-WPTC, WPC, etc.)
  • Solid experience in circuit simulation and design tools (e.g. Multisim, LTspice, Altium, etc.)
  • Proven ability to lead a project as part of a team and with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of circuit design, power management and performance/thermal limitations
  • Strong analog and power circuit design skills with knowledge of digital design
  • Experience working in a regulated environment requiring good documentation practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
