Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a senior electrical engineer. Responsibilities include leading the design of electrical engineering projects; preparing plans and specifications of electrical distribution and lighting systems; mentoring less experienced staff; developing and reviewing probable construction costs; providing construction administration and site visits; potentially assisting with business and fee development. Some travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have all of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in electrical or architectural engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
• At least eight years of relevant electrical experience
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

• leading design of building electrical systems including low and medium voltage power, lighting systems and controls
• mentoring less experienced engineers and designers
• utilizing Revit and/or AutoCAD
• designing electrical systems using power design (EasyPower and/or SKM Power Tools) and lighting calculations software (AGI32 and/or ElumTools)
• coordinating the preparation of construction document drawings and specifications
• providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems
