Our People Data Team are looking for a Senior DevOps engineer to help us build the infrastructure and services that allow our employees to do their best work every day.

This role can be virtual or on site (Austin, TX or Cupertino, CA).

Key Qualifications

• 10+ years designing, securing, and administering Linux-based servers and virtual machines to host network sites and services; VMWare and self-hosted server management a plus
• Proven experience utilizing infrastructure-as-code automation tools like Ansible to reliably build and manage multi-environment servers and services
• Strong foundation in system and data security practices and techniques
• Critical analysis skills to design, validate, and execute applications for a variety of business needs in the global enterprise
• Experience configuring and maintaining Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins
• Familiar with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Enterprise networking experience: load balancing, firewalls, proxies, ACLs, DNS, Virtual IPs
• Strong problem solving, and debugging skills
• Experience with distributed version control systems such as Git
• Knowledge of web technologies (ex: PHP, Drupal, Laravel, Symfony, Javascript, CSS)
• Database management expertise, MySQL ideal; query optimization and extract-transform-load experience a plus
• Comfortable taking ownership of projects, learning new technologies, and working with a team to deliver world-class applications with a global approach

In this role you'll use leading DevOps practices such as infrastructure-as-code, continuous integration & continuous delivery, service orchestration, security, and enterprise networking to build the next generation infrastructure that powers the People team's suite of mission critical services.

The People Data Team hosts, manages, monitors, and secures hundreds of services that enable our employees to focus on their roles and be supported in their daily lives.

If you have experience handling large self-hosted server clusters, love designing services with leading DevOps practices, know the critical importance of network and data security, have excellent problem solving skills, and are able to communicate and work effectively with diverse business groups to create enterprise services, we'd be delighted to hear from you.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent industry experience.
