Job Description

Intel's Network Computing Solutions Group (NCSG) is a data networking integrated circuit development team which creates hardware assisted multi-core network processor solutions, and custom integrated circuit solutions designed for use in wire line and especially wireless access connectivity equipment.

Our products integrate communication processors, network interfaces, network switching and routing, advanced queuing and scheduling, packet content processors and security processors.

As part of NCSG, you will be working as part of our network interfaces digital design and verification team.

Your overall responsibilities will be to develop pre-silicon verification environments to test the complex networking functions developed for our network processors.

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

  • Drive the verification strategy and definition for large functional blocks which are integrated into an SoC (System on a Chip).
  • Define verification reusability strategy as well as SOC integration and manufacturing test strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership to the verification team to drive methodology improvements.
  • Generate and document test plan and test definitions.
  • Use System Verilog, UVM verification methodologies to implement the tools and tests to verify advanced networking functions.
  • Develop and analyze functional and code coverage to support verification effort.
  • Utilize formal techniques to enhance coverage.
  • Use formal property verification (FPV) tools to develop constraints/rules to enhance verification coverage and productivity.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of the SoC design flow from high level design/verification to synthesis, place and route, timing, and power analysis.
  • Work with the peers to debug and resolve complex design and verification problems as part of the overall development.

  • Attention to detail, willingness and ability to learn quickly, and excellent team communication skills.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated strong problem solving skills.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Minimum Qualifications:


The candidate must have a Bachelors in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering and 4+ years of experience or a Masters degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of experience in:

  • Digital verification methodologies using Verilog, System Verilog, UVM and formal (FPV) tools.
  • Linux based development verification flows and automations using Tcl, Perl, Python scripting concepts.
  • Debugging Skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of data networking concepts. E.g. Ethernet, Switching and Routing, TCP/IP etc.
  • General knowledge of and experience with high-speed HW protocols (e.g. PCIE, CPRI, JESD, Ethernet).
  • Experience implementing and leading block and SOC level verification from start to finish.
