As the world's premier supplier of naval and maritime sensor solutions, Naval Radars is providing innovative, affordable and breakthrough capabilities to the U.S. Navys Fleet. Naval Radars (NR), a product line within Naval Power, has forecasted 2020 revenue in excess of $750M, with program areas spanning multiple locations. The Naval Radars team is seeking an FP&A analyst to support a growing portfolio that will offer exposure to financial planning and forecasting for multiple contract types and colors of money, including capital, bidding & selling, and IRAD. The FP&A Analyst will support the Naval Radars FP&A Manager and the SPY-6 program teams by facilitating monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements including the following: Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), Investment Planning, and Monthly Forecast Reviews. This position can be remote at the discretion of the hiring manager.

The FP&A Analyst will be a key contributor to the monthly forecast, risk and opportunity register development, and overall AOP/LRP development. The FP&A analyst will serve as the primary point of contact and financial planner for the SPY-6 family of programs. This position will allow for visibility to SPY-6 key leadership and team members. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager for Naval Radars, this role offers a dynamic and challenging FP&A experience in a growing Raytheon Technologies franchise product line. Excellent communication skills are necessary to coordinate financial data and communicate to various stakeholders.


Bandwidth permitted, the role will offer additional opportunity to provide incremental support on execution of programs as primary finance point of contact. In addition to the aforementioned primary FP&A responsibilities, the role offers opportunity for comprehensive exposure to FP&A and program finance within an area of high visibility within Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD).


Required Skills:
  • 4+ years of related finance experience
  • Proactive, creative and innovative in solving problems and issues
  • Excellent computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of applicable business and accounting systems, including SAP/APEX/PRISM/BW/Rplan
  • Understanding of sales, earnings, bookings and cash flow forecasting
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Deep sense of commitment to meeting deadlines
  • This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.
Desired Skills:
  • Program controls finance experience with exposure to progress payment and cost type contract financing
  • Understanding of cost-to-cost accounting and revenue recognition
  • Background in EAC (Estimate At Complete) process facilitation
  • Presentation skills and comfort with communicating financial information to leadership
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness in work product
