Job Summary:

An opportunity exists at Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) for a Process Support Engineer to join our Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) wafer fabrication team in the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department.

As a member of the AMS Department, the individual will be responsible for supporting device fabrication of surface acoustic wave devices in the wafer fab. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of microelectronics processing techniques such as deposition, etch, photolithography, and wafer-level packaging. The role requires a large degree of multitasking with attention to detail, and the ability to shift priorities depending on the nature of the problems and the needs of program leads. The ability to work well in small, cross-functional teams is also essential.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Engineering support and training for manufacturing personnel
  • Review process data trends and electrical measurements
  • Assist the team in failure analysis
  • Collaborate with team to reduce rework and scrap to maintain an efficient process line
  • Quickly identify issues by maintaining a presence on the manufacturing floor

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree or additional 2 years of related experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college
  • A minimum of four years of related work history either through coursework or hands-on experience
  • Experience with semiconductor processing techniques such as contact lithography, dry etch/milling, metal evaporation, bonding, laser trim or dicing
  • Experience with semiconductor processing equipment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Prior surface acoustic wave production line experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot a diverse set of fabrication equipment in addition to establishing equipment qualification and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Understanding of statistical process control and lean manufacturing methods
  • Ability to work in diverse and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas effectively
  • Experience with quality standards and audits
