Security Forces - Asset Protection Manager

The Raytheon Missiles & Defense Asset Protection Manager I serves as the operational manager for the MS proprietary Security Forces at USAF Plant 44 in Tucson, Arizona. In this capacity, the Manager I, Asset Protection reports directly to the Manager III, Asset Protection RMD West. This position is responsible for leading the operational structure of the MS Asset Protection (Security Forces) organization to ensure alignment with the requirements of a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated (GOCO) facility.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Plans, develops and implements security programs to safeguard personnel, intellectual property and facilities.
  2. Collaborates with other organizations to further effective workplace violence mitigation and response strategies.
  3. Determines risks associated with the facility protection and business operations and develops programs to manage risk in a cost-effective manner.
  4. Implements the Anti-Terrorism program; and the direct collaboration with front line leadership of the contract guard force.
  5. Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, mentoring, and disciplining members of the armed proprietary security forces organization.
  6. Coordinate Asset Protection efforts with Site Incident Support Team.
  7. Coordinate with local government and private sector partners as part of the Threat Working Group (TWG).
  8. Manage Raytheon Missiles & Defense emergency response in coordination with Fire, Preparedness, Explosive Safety and other key stakeholders.
  9. Follow up, accountability, and communication to include leading, reviewing and reporting on progress related to the timely execution of projects and plans which have significant and long-lasting impact.
  10. Participate in and conduct staff meetings with direct reports and business partners.
  11. Identify opportunities to make actionable verbal/written recommendations to internal and external stakeholders regarding physical security and asset protection strategies to drive efficiencies and improved performance.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study or 8 years directly related experience in lieu of degree PLUS the following:
  • Minimum of 6 years of directly related security experience (14 years without a Bachelors degree)
  • Experience in the planning, development and/or delivery of training programs.
  • Experience leading an armed response force (security, law enforcement and/or military)
  • Prior work experience with NISPOM.
  • U.S Citizenship is required.

Desired Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study
  • Experience working effectively and comfortably with internal and external customers of all levels
  • Management experience of both short term and long term projects.
  • Experience collaborating with other businesses or government entities to develop and maintain progressive security programs
  • Experience creating a team environment and rallying a team around a common mission, vision and goals
  • Strong leadership experience to include organization change & transformation
  • Active Secret DoD security clearance
  • Experience participating on, or leading committees or advisory boards
  • Ability to obtain a LEOSA Certification
  • Strong qualitative, analytic and business acumen skills
  • Experience conducting, leading and/or managing Investigations
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Experience applying the National Incident Management System, Incident Command System (ICS) to real world events
  • Progressive security management or law enforcement management experience in a large corporation or organization
  • Ability to develop and implement cost effective, proactive security programs with an emphasis on compliance with the National Industrial Security Program and internal customer requirements
  • Ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with government, industry security, emergency management, law enforcement, military and members of the intelligence community

Security Clearance: This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
