Apple's Sales organization generates the revenue needed to fuel our ongoing development of products and services. This in turn, enriches the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. Our sales team, is in many ways, the face of Apple to our largest customers.

Apple is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Senior Business Product Owner to join the WW Channel Sales Business Planning team. The channel sales organization is responsible for managing Apple's commercial relationships with resellers around the world. In this role, you will partner with worldwide and regional sales leaders, finance, operations, legal, as well as other key partners, to drive optimization through process, data and technology solutions. You'll apply your abilities for strategy, planning, and execution to devise operational solutions that support the sales teams and help drive Apple's multi-billion dollar demand generation strategy.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis, planning, sales operations, strategy and/or sales program & portfolio management roles
  • 4+ years experience in management consulting, in enterprise sales strategy, enablement/effectiveness and/or digital transformation role
  • Proven track record of leading strategic programs, combined with the ability to execute tactical project-level activities and tasks
  • Broad exposure to sales, finance and supply chain management
  • A solid understanding of the consumer electronics industry (products, technologies, trends)
  • Outstanding verbal & written communication skills
  • Experience presenting and making recommendations to senior level executives
  • Proven ability to lead teams with or without direct reports; natural leader and motivator that can lead through influence
  • Collaborative, flexible, open working style and an ability to establish trust and credibility quickly
  • Familiar with Lean methodology and comfortable applying Lean tools
  • Proficient knowledge in process mapping and other process analysis techniques
  • Proficient knowledge of systems implementation and development lifecycles
  • Technical acumen required to effectively discuss and strategize on solutions with IT teams

Description

Success requires an individual to think strategically, connecting the dots of the bigger picture, as well as being comfortable in the details of the all key deliverables. You must be self-motivated, comfortable working with minimal direction in a global, fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment. You have exceptional analytical skills, a maniacal attention to detail, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. The position will require the ability to complete complex business analysis, develop and execute business strategies, and be confident and competent as the face of Sales in discussions with cross functional teams. The ideal candidate will have deep program management experience and be self-directed, motivated, and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment.

This role requires you to be a champion of sales business processes, specifically around demand generation.

The duties and responsibilities are very diverse, but include the following:
- Work with sales leadership to define a long-term vision and roadmap
- Engage SMEs across regions and functions to understand their needs and most pressing issues
- Prioritize process improvements that balance the needs of different teams while providing the most overall benefit to Apple
- Secure buy-in from key stakeholders and enlist their help in being part of the solution
- Have a deep understanding of the capabilities and limitations of different data systems and tools
- Work closely with Business Process Re-Engineering and IT teams to manage and implement end-to-end process improvements
- Define and implement critical program metrics. Identify key success measures for projects being implemented.
- Clearly communicate the vision as well as the details of improvements in regular status updates with senior sales leaders

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • - Big 5 consulting experience preferred.
  • - Experience in a channel sales operations role preferred.
  • - Experience optimizing sales planning and demand generation preferred.
  • - Good understanding of End to End process for Global Account Planning, Coverage models, Quota setting, Forecast and Sales Pipeline Management.
  • - Proven track record in implementing complex initiatives that significantly improve business process and performance.
  • - Extensive knowledge of modern sales methodologies, sales process, and buyers journey alignment.
  • - Experience in global partner management across sales and marketing teams.
  • - Prior experience working on customer relationship management sales enablement tools.
  • - Business Process Mapping and Master Data Management around customer data and channel data experience is also a plus.
  • - Some international travel may be required.
