Shipping, Receiving & Mail Services is a diverse and nimble team that supports logistics activities for the Austin campus. We're seeking a highly organized Route Driver with great communication skills, attention to detail, and a can-do attitude. Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in a mail facility or similar background.
  • Requires a valid driver's license. Candidates must be at least 25 years of age to comply with fleet insurance requirements.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with the following: scheduling or calendar software, logistics tracking software-experience with BearTracks is a plus, database software, Numbers or Excel, and Pages or Word.
  • Ability to perform the following types of physical activities: lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull to move equipment, bend/stoop/squat/kneel, and reach above shoulders.
  • Material handling skills, including ability to use motorized and manual equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Adopts and promotes Apple's values and policies.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency. Remains engaged and committed to the mission and goals of the department.

  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.

Description

Daily activities include unloading deliveries from carriers and vendors, entering tracking information into BearTracks, sorting material in the warehouse, and loading your vehicle with deliveries. You will be responsible for driving a route, making deliveries, and using an iPad to process deliveries. You'll deliver to various locations in Austin. These locations have mailrooms that you will need to keep tidy and stocked with shipping supplies.

You will provide exceptional customer service by communicating quickly and efficiently with customers, maintaining accurate delivery records on your iPad, and coordinating with other teams in the department to optimize deliveries.

Other responsibilities include contributing to the team's standard operating procedures, monitoring safety conditions, and various other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
