General Summary
This position participates in the design and implementation of electronic and radio-frequency (RF) systems for applications within the Systems Development department.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement methodologies and procedures to apply principles and theories of engineering and/or physics.
  • Model and simulate analog/digital electronic and RF systems.
  • Develop and perform test procedures to validate new hardware and software.
Position Specific
  • Effectively analyze and interpret signals and waveforms.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.
  • Document each research stage in a clear and concise manner with figures that efficiently communicate the results.
  • Interface with engineers and scientist of varying disciplines during the design of new systems.
  • Participate in team assemblies to analyze, develop requirements, and make recommendations for moderate to complex systems.
  • Perform creative problem solving for experimental systems.
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of components and equipment.
  • Ensure individual responsibilities within projects are completely satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance at a level equivalent to Department of Defense (DOD) SECRET
  • MS Degree in Electrical Engineering/Physics
  • 3-5 years related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Digital and/or analog electrical hardware design experience
  • Strong mathematical/analytical problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a dynamic environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated to continually expand knowledge and skills related to this position.
