Apple's Operations Supplier Responsibility team is seeking a Responsible Materials Sourcing Manager who will lead a team to strategize and carry out Apple's best-in-class Responsible Materials Management program, with an emphasis on primary-sourced minerals. Apple's compliance with Dodd-Frank Section 1502 forms the foundation of the work, but Apple's efforts go well beyond legal compliance - Apple goes deep in the supply chain to protect the people in our supply chain and the planet we all share

Key Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in a relevant field such as supply chain management, responsible sourcing, or supply chain technologies
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Responsible Sourcing of Minerals
  • Consistent record of successfully leading a team with highly measurable goals and outcomes
  • Experience running a corporate due diligence program, including Dodd-Frank Section 1502 compliance
  • Knowledge of the OECD due diligence guidance and other related frameworks and deep understanding of business operations in high risk conflict-affected areas
  • The candidate must show exceptional teamwork, management, and creativity in solving problems in order to take Apple's program to the next level with measurable, sustainability results
  • Knowledge and understanding of deep supply chain analytics and mapping
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills; ability to manage supplier escalations internally and externally through effective communication at all levels
  • Ability to Establish strong working relationships with suppliers and other organizations both internal and external
  • Assimilates and executes detailed processes and procedures to complete tasks involving data collection and task management
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with FileMaker database tools and Tableau

Description

In addition to managing the Responsible Minerals Management program, the individual in this role will drive cross-functional programs related to recycling and drive cross functional programs on mineral recycling. Expertise in third-party certification schemes (such as RMI, LBMA etc) and industry processes is required, along with the ability to develop strategies, make data driven solutions, and innovate

Apple includes other materials beyond tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold, such as cobalt, to ensure a responsible minerals chain. The individual will have oversight responsibility for Apple's Responsible Sourcing Program in primary sourcing

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain and/or responsible sourcing
