The RSE is expected to be or quickly become comfortable with best practices in software engineering with a strong emphasis on reproducibility; this includes version control, testing, continuous integration, containerized applications and multiple programming languages for data science and visualization. If applying as a Senior Research Software Engineer, the successful candidate is expected to be comfortable leading projects, and being the technical point of contact with faculty.
