Job Description

Join Intel-and build a better tomorrow. Intel is in the midst of an exciting transformation, with a vision to create and extend computing technology to connect and enrich the lives of every person on Earth. So join us-and help us create the next generation of technologies that will shape the future for decades to come.

Intel Labs is seeking motivated researcher in the area of Scalable AI computing research. This is a full-time position with the Brain-Inspired Computing Lab.

At BCL, we work with other internal teams and researchers at universities around the world to develop neuroscience-inspired learning algorithms and technologies that make new computing possible. We research, experiment, prototype, and implement ideas, spanning software, hardware and their co-design, that have a transformative impact on Intel and its customers across a wide range of compute- and data-intensive applications. We work in close collaboration with leading academic, government and industry partners to accomplish our mission.

In this position, you will be responsible for conceiving, researching, and prototyping new parallel and distributed computing algorithms and systems, and you will develop relevant software and hardware technologies stemming from our machine learning and neuroscience research. This requires a solid understanding of state-of-the-art techniques in parallel computing, distributed computing, optimization of algorithms, and benchmarking, along with a strong understanding of computer architecture. Additionally, this requires some familiarity with techniques in machine learning, deep learning, or reinforcement learning, and relevant software frameworks. Experience with neuroscience is not required, but interest in it will benefit you.

You are expected to maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles, theories, and practices, as well as contribute regularly to the scientific literature and the research community at-large. You may also participate in the development of intellectual property.

The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding team-oriented collaborative environment
