The Revolutionary Technology Programs (RTP) organization of Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works Advanced Development Programs (ADP) is soliciting qualified candidates to take on a lead position managing Radio Frequency (RF) development engineering and to conceive of and establish next generation technologies. Working with a team of like-minded research scientists, the successful candidate will likely possess deep understanding across most, if not all, of the following areas: RF electromagnetics, antenna design and testing including phased array, PCB design, free-space RF propagation, communication theory, wireless power transfer theory, embedded system design, RF simulation methods, circuit design, system design, signal processing, electronic warfare, electronic component testing, circuit testing, RF test troubleshooting, RF measurements in a noisy environment, and RF analysis techniques. Substantial research freedom in the establishment and conduction of experiments is encouraged. They will be confident in direction and evaluation of RF project concepts, theory, simulation, fabrication, test, and evaluation. A strong results-oriented work ethic and ability to collaborate with others in and across organizations is critical. This position requires the development and delivery of concise presentations to customers and managers on concepts, development and engineering trade study results. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills are necessary for success

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor or above degree in engineering, physics or a related technical discipline
• Experience with RF electromagnetics, device design, PCB design, phased array design, free-space RF propagation
• Experience in RF Analysis and RF Testing

Desired skills
• Project management experience including the demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced environment, assess and mitigate project risks
• Experience shaping and winning CRADs and Internal Research and Development funding
• Experience with communication theory, wireless power transfer theory, ASIC development, FPGA programming, embedded system design, RF simulation methods, PCB CAD software, PCB sourcing, software defined radio, circuit design, system design, signal processing, electronic warfare, antenna testing, component testing, circuit testing, system testing, test troubleshooting, noise analysis, and linearity analysis
• Experience interfacing FPGAs with commercial high-speed surface mount ADC/DAC modules
• Experience with RF, test automation, calibration and operation of associated RF equipment to include synthesizers, receivers, power amplifiers, modulators, mixers, control system, cabling and interconnects
• Experience in design, simulation, procurement, programming, and testing of printed circuit board embedded systems containing FPGA-based DSP, ADCs, DACs, mixers, filters, and other components
• Experience establishing and assessing the performance of complex RF systems, as well as monitoring, troubleshooting, isolating failures and removing/replacing failed components in such systems
• RF modelling experience using commercial software such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, and/or Comsol
• Experience creating and conducting senior customer and company management technical briefings
• Familiarity with Matlab, C++, Python, and/or other languages; Experience in software development
• Experience in FPGA programming using a common hardware description language (HDL) such as VHDL or Verilog
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of desktop application software
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
