A research position is available within the Frontier Institute for Research in Sensor Technologies (www.umaine.edu/FIRST) at the University of Maine in the area of electronic components and systems for wireless sensor technology for use in harsh environment applications. The position emphasizes familiarity with design, fabrication, testing and evaluation of semiconductor electronic circuits, sensor materials, device fabrication, and radio-frequency (RF) electronics. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in several aspects of design, fabrication, packaging, and testing of wireless semiconductor and/or surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensor technology for detection of temperature, pressure, strain, and/or corrosion in high temperature harsh environments.
The appointment is available immediately and will be at the level of Postdoctoral Research Associate or Research Associate (Sensor Devices) depending on qualifications. Due to timing, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship and candidates must be already authorized to work in the U.S. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, complete resume, copies of up to three journal publications, and a list of three references (names and email addresses) to: https://umaine.hiretouch.com/job-details?jobID=67577&job=postdoctoral-research-associate-or-research-associate-sensor-devices
