The Georgia Electronic Design Center (GEDC) is a large research center within Georgia Tech’s Insitute for Electronics and Nanotechnology (IEN), and is located in midtown Atlanta on the Georgia Tech campus. The GEDC is seeking candidates for a Research Engineer II position in RF through sub-mmWave electronic communications, radar, and sensor systems, for both ground-based and space-based applications. He/she will be responsible for the design, simulation, tapeout, and testing of integrated circuits (ICs) supporting GEDC electronics research in these areas.  

Other tasks for this postion will include: interacting with center faculty, supervision of graduate students, performing measurements and simulations supporting center research, leading IC tapeouts, and maintenance of GEDC electronic measurement labs and testbeds, which are capable of IC characterization up to several hundred GHz. Successful candidates will work with center faculty on industry sponsored research, support proposal preparation and contract execution, help direct graduate students, perform meaningful research, and both write and present papers. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and have a solid publication record. Salary is commensurate with experience.

The GEDC is a multidisciplinary, comprehensive, industry-focused electronics and photonics research center with over 15 faculty and over 200 graduate students.
