Seeking a Systems Test Engineer whose primary role is to perform Radar Cross Section (RCS) and antenna measurements at the Lockheed Martin MFC Electronics Test Site.

The MFC Electronics Test Site Is located approximately 30 miles east of the MFC’s Orlando Florida Sand Lake Road facility. The position requires learning all aspects of the unique measurement radar systems’ hardware, software and associated test equipment as well as assisting a Senior Staff engineer in making improvements to the radar system. In addition, the Systems Test Engineer will provide support to any program that may be on site, both technically and as general labor support, as required. The Systems Test Engineer will be trained to operate all Range equipment, including man lifts, forklifts, large outdoor crane, front end loader, various military trucks and an M113 armored personnel carrier.

A significant portion of the work will be outdoors, day and night, on a schedule driven by test requirements. Significant additional training and responsibilities are required including laser safety, safe lift, lock-out/tag-out, security, heavy lift rigging etc.

The Systems Test Engineer will also support drone projects and must be willing to be trained to become an FAA certified UAS pilot

A Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Special Program access is required

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform the following System Test assignments:

Perform verification and validation (V&V) testing of developed systems to assure intended performance in user operational tests

Generate plans to develop and properly allocate resources including test articles, test facilities, and associated test equipment

Generate test failure documentation capture plans to assure retention of failure related evidence for FRB review

Coordinate test results with program design engineers, with simulation and modeling engineers, and with customer representatives

Assure proper documentation of test article configuration, test set up, and verification of test equipment certification and calibration

Rigorously implement Security and Safety requirements

A Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Special Program access is required

Desired skills
Participate in the DOORS requirements definition process to assure testability is built-in to the system end-to end-development process

Assist in the definition and implementation of risk reduction testing is an integral part of the system test process

Generate formal test plans and procedures which normally require customer approval

Participate with the Government test planning/execution activity in a training, coordination, and consultant capacity

Prior experience working test activities at the Electronic Test Site (ETS) range

Experience in RCS or RF/Antennas is preferred
