Job Description

As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can chose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with ARM and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry standard design packages.

The IFS team is looking for a passionate and driven individual to lead complex development programs and projects with tightly specified performance and reliability requirements. As a Research and Development Engineer you will work with internal/external partners on research and development projects with the goal to deliver manufacturable solutions. Responsibilities will include hands on work in clean room environments to research new solutions, technical problem solving, program deliverable definition and execution, and stakeholder alignment.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong communication skills, and clarity in technical communications.
  • Results oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently, and an aptitude for hands on problem solving
  • Proven experience to lead technical projects, working with multi-functional and cross-site groups.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders and resolve conflicts


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor equipment and applications, and/or equipment development
  • Hands on research experience: designing experiments and analyzing data


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a technical lead for large and small groups in a global team environment
  • Experience leading external supplier projects
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical design
  • Experience with product development

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$127,330.00-$216,740.00
