Role Number:200272884

This position can be located in Santa Clara Valley (CA) or Seattle (WA).

At Apple, Information Security is one of our most critical and pervasive concerns, where the security of our customer data and devices is paramount to our success. We protect Apple's data in transit and at rest by integrating security into existing pipelines, developing intuitive designs, and focusing resources where they matter most. As Apple grows and changes, we must continuously re-assess our approach and investments to ensure they remain effective!

As a member of Apple Information Security's Quality team, you'll help validate that the capabilities, tools, and processes we've put in place work as they should. You will work with diverse teams of engineers and security analysts to demystify complex, integrated systems and demonstrate their ability to perform when and where we need them the most. You will identify, document, and evaluate our defensive capabilities, root out faulty assumptions, and uncover hidden dependencies using transparent, repeatable methods. You will empower data-driven decision making by producing and communicating quantitative, defensible measures of quality to senior leadership. You'll help Apple Information Security rest easier by continuously demonstrating that the investments we've made are working as intended.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams of engineers and analysts in an information security organization
  • Experience identifying, clarifying, and measuring complex, technical, integrated processes and systems
  • Willingness to investigate, troubleshoot, and shed light on components of obscure, sometimes ambiguous systems
  • Comfortable communicating, building rapport, collecting information, and securing commitments from technical teams and individuals at all levels.
  • Data-driven with an emphasis on analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions
  • Excellent organization skills and an acute attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving abilities in both ambiguous and tactical situations
  • Proven communication skills and an ability to cultivate positive relationships
  • Naturally accountable, responsible, and self-motivated
  • Flexible and quick to adapt to sudden changes and issues
  • A natural tendency to test assumptions
  • Passionate about improving quality and eliminating inefficiency
