Job Summary: The Projectiles & Mortars (P&M) Capture/Program Manager (CM/PM) position reports into the Growth & Development Programs team within the Multi-Domain Attack Systems (M-DAS) Product Area Directorate (PAD) in the Land Warfare & Air Defense (LW&AD) Mission Area. The P&M CM/PM will lead M-DAS capture efforts across its extended range precision projectile and mortar offerings, both domestically and internationally. The CM/PM leads cross-functional teams through all aspects of the PADs capture activities and proposal processes. The CM/PM manages execution of initial stages of business captured (demonstrations, studies, initial prototype development, etc.) to capture follow-on business and prepare transition to the development programs team. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Primary customer interface representing Raytheon's Excalibur program responsible for all international Excalibur captures and program execution valued in excess of $1B over the five year plan. When applicable, lead a cross functional team to develop executable localization plans. Manage execution of initial stages of business captured (demonstrations, studies, etc.) to capture follow-on business and transition to development programs team
Primary capture manager for securing domestic or international launch customers for Excalibur S, Excalibur N5, and precision mortar programs. Explore, codify, and advance synergy projects relevant to RTX businesses in these areas. Manage execution of initial stages of business captured (demonstrations, studies, etc.) to capture follow-on business and transition to development programs team.
Leads cross-functional teams to capture new Science & Technology (S&T) business out of the Army's Armaments Center. Manage execution of initial stages of business captured (Other transaction Authority (OTA) contracts, studies, analyses) to capture follow-on business and transition to development programs team.
Lead internal reviews and excecutive briefings pertaining to all pursuits (Gate Reviews, Color Teams, Strategy Reviews, etc.)
Provide day to day leadership of cross-functional pursuit teams. This includes management of New Business Investment (NBI) funding and ongoing leadership and communication to ensure all team members are aligned to achieve bookings.
This position can be done remotely with the ability to travel as needed. Qualifications You Must Have:
Minimum of 12 years experience; preferably in the defense industry
International capture or program management experience with the ability to engage culturally diverse and senior level customers as well as industry partners
Prior experience with navigating a wide array of complex cultural norms, business practices, and customer decision making processes and industry workshare/offset policies.
Experience with US government policies, regulations, and processes tied to foreign military sales and export authorizations.
Experience in competitive analysis, customer analysis, win strategy development, conduct of color teams, and price-to-win analysis
Prior experience with leading matrix organizations to accomplish goals
Experience in technical aspects with ability to learn M-DAS products and interact with customer subject matter experts
Bachelors degree; preferably in business, engineering/technology, international affairs or political science
An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance Qualifications We Value:
5-7 years of capture/business development leadership with proven success in capturing new business; Capture Manager certification
Long Range Precision Fires related military service/experience
In-depth knowledge of cannon artillery and/or mortars weapons platforms/system, projectiles, munitions, and/or customers employment tactics, techniques, and procedures
Program Manager certification or ability to obtain; track record in successfully leading IR&D, NBI, and/or customer funded program/projects
Knowledge of the U.S. Armys and U.S. Marine Corps long range precision fires modernization plans
Experience capturing or managing domestic and/or international development programs
Demonstrated ability to advise and influence functional leaders, business development, global supply chain, and internal program leaders to secure the resources necessary to capture and execute new business.
Ability to understand and communicate key technical aspects of our products and lead discussions and teaming arrangement negotiations with potential international and domestic industry partners and customer subject matter experts.
Masters degrees in business, engineering/technology, international affairs/political science
