GTRI is seeking Program Management Support Professional (PMSP) to provide scheduling, budgetary, and project management support to major engineering projects. The successful candidate will be able to provide project management support to a fifteen to twenty (15-20) member team of multi-disciplinary engineers and scientists to achieve project objectives and milestones.

This role allows for a desirable work/life balance with few extra hours worked when necessary. This is an opportunity to grow and extend an existing funded program. Job Duties

  • Review project requirements and support the development and maintenance of the WBS and IMS to establish priorities.
  • Prepare, maintain, and manage the modeling and re-engineering of the IMS.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute complex development programs comprised of larger scope, dollar, and risk profiles.
  • Monitor schedule performance by analyzing schedule health, data, and trends with regard to financial, schedule, and quality metrics.
  • Interface directly with internal and external customers to communicate the status of work and corrective actions that may be required to ensure conformance to established schedules

Daily tasks consist of 75% program management support of sponsored projects and 25% further developing project management skills that will further the mission of GTRI's PMO office. The candidate must be resourceful, take initiative, and manage autonomy with expectations.

Education & Length of Experience

Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist/Associate I

  • A Bachelor's degree in STEM, Business, or a related field of study.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program relevant to this position will be considered. The candidate must have a graduation date of no later than December 2021
  • 1 or more years working primarily in a scheduling role with additional duties associated with project management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and either Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
  • Superior communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Understand Critical Path Methodology and Earned Value Principals as they relate to Project Scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Secret Clearance
  • Experience with SteelRay, Milestone Pro, RiskyProject, OPDEC IPM

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
